Photographing men is different than women. For starters, most men don’t have a comprehensive selection of poses ready to unleash! In fact, most men don’t like to be photographed. My quality is exceptional and when we work together, three things will be a priority: make you look distinctive, guide you through poses, and keep a relaxed environment. Not every photo has to be grins and smiles. You can look sophisticated by looking intent. Before our session, I’ll sit down with you to understand your priorities and what/how you intend to use the photos. For example, do you want to look approachable, friendly, tough, or have an executive presence? These are skills reserved in portrait photography and, specifically, when working with men.
Portraits will never go out of style. To the casual observer, there may not seem to be many differences between photographing men and women. But, that could not be further from the truth. I know all the minor the nuances that are needed to create the best photos of men.

Taking Pictures is About More Than the Camera
A camera is a piece of equipment, nothing more. Two photographers can have the same camera and end up with completely different quality photos. The difference in great images lies in the person taking the picture. I have the training, knowledge, and experience that will help to ensure you’re happy with your photos.
Sometimes you Need More Than a Snapshot
Snapshots are great for capturing casual moments. Sometimes a candid photo taken with a friend’s phone is all you need to memorialize an event. But, there are other times, when a man needs a more formal portrait. During these times, you need to put the phone or camera down and call in a professional for the job. I’ll take into account factors such as lighting, location, ideas, and angle to create the perfect image that will last a lifetime.
Posing Men
There is an art to posing the male form. As your photographer, I will take into account the face, and particularly the jawline of a man when taking a portrait. I know that part of the body is a major measure of perceived manliness. I also know the flattering tilt at which to put your head as well as how to pose your body to give you the best look.
Finding Purpose and Meaning
Most likely, a man wants a photo taken for a particular reason. It can be for business, a creative portfolio, a fitness milestone, a fitness milestone, a model shoot, boudoir, nudes, or anything in between. I’ll sit down with you and discuss what your goals are for the photos. Then, we’ll work on elements such as clothing, posing, posture, and other tips that will help to convey strength and confidence. Your final product will be one you absolutely love.
